The Inhumane Vegan will be one of six short stories included in a single novel with a unique title. This story focuses on the legalized torture, abuse, and murder of innocent livestock that happens worldwide. After being hunted by online trolls for living a vegan lifestyle, I will be using this karmic novel to further advocate for livestock and the vegan communities that endlessly fight to protect innocent farm animals.
Amber Ross is an animal champion who owns a livestock sanctuary. After her prized cow is abducted and forced into a life-or-death situation by sinister, desperate slaughterhouse workers, Amber flips the menu on the monsters who targeted her favorite pet. These meat-eaters will soon experience the same pain and suffering they inflict on livestock during their shift at the slaughterhouse. Today's special? Humans...in this karmic twist to mealtime.
In my short story, The Skeletons in Billy's Closet, karma rears its ugly head in Bedford, Virginia. Billy Mayo has spent thirty years hiding his shameful past from his loving wife and daughters, but skeletons in the closet never disappear. Three vengeful fathers with a bucket list of horrors to fulfill will show Billy what it really means to be called daddy.
As I listen to my mother's heartbeat, it sounds much different than when I was inside her womb. Then again, why would it beat the same? I'm gone. My mother's heart is broken.
