I am actively writing a work of fiction inspired by my fifteen-year-old grandson's untimely passing. The grieving process is complex. My story follows Jasmine Lee's quest to be part of her son Steven Christopher's life after his narcissistic father, Dick Lively, rips Steven from his mother's loving arms at a young age. Separating mother and child forever, my own grandson's organ donations saved numerous lives. His ❤️ still beats inside a middle-aged woman who benefited from Steven's heart. In my novel, I will be focusing on how one mother's tragedy is a miracle to another grief-stricken mother who nearly lost everything to Hurricane Helene.
